1. Find the right real estate agent

If you want your home sold quickly, find the right agent. An experienced agent can sell your home quickly and for a higher price rather than if you did it on your own. Make sure your agent knows the local market, and that you interview them before hiring them. All agents are not created equal. Look for someone with integrity, knows the local market, and is confident when sharing what your home value realistically looks like.

2. First impression

The front of your property is the first thing home buyers see. You do not have to spend a fortune to make it appealing enough for them to get excited about what comes next! A coat of paint, clean windows, pressure washing and a manicured landscape will do the trick.

3. Fresh and clean

Small repairs should be an easy fix and lite on your budget. You may not realize your own unique odor, so when preparing to sell, open all windows, change air filters. Invest in baking soda and lemons, the best kept secrets to absorbing oders naturally. Clean the carpets, mop

4. Less is more

Most buyers, when previewing property, want o visualize themselves in it. In other words, focus on making your home as neutral as possible. 5. Showing time

Now that you’ve taken the first four steps, its time to let people in. Your agent will scdedule showings on your behalf so get ready! Showings (usually) take less than 15 minutes but be prepared to walk the dog or run some errands while the home is being shown. Leave it to the buyers agent, to answer any questions they have during this time. If additional questions arise after the showing, you will be contact.
